J.M.J.Dear Readers,

It’s almost summer, and while enjoying the warmer weather and being outdoors as often as possible I also like to reopen some old favorite adventure stories and discover new ones. There’s something especially captivating about those adventures that take place at sea. It took me quite a long time to visit the sea myself, but long before I ever saw it I loved it because of the many stories surrounding it.

We’ve tapped into a bit of that mystery and adventure of the sea for this issue, filling it with our own stories and poetry. There’s an interview with author K. Newman of the Shipped series, a great article discussing nautical literature, and short biographies of a few naval legends as well. Please enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Yours Ever,

Courtney Seybold
