Classes at Lighthouse
Art Center including Youth Draw and Paint (Ages 5-8). This beginning course for little learners is an introduction to drawing and painting materials. Through guided drawing lessons, students will create in their own style and at their own developmental level. Mediums used are pencils, crayons, colored pencil, markers, watercolor paints, and tempera paints. Subjects include portraits, animals in landscapes, and fun abstracts. Instilling good habits in young artists, students will create a portfolio the first day of class that will be sent home full of their artwork on the last day. Youth Draw and Paint is a great experience for young artists to learn the building blocks of art. Tuesdays 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. Nights at the Museum at Cox Science Center and Aquarium
- The perfect way to celebrate School is out for the Summer! May 27th 6-9 PM Guests of all ages can enjoy extended hours of exploration at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium. Each Night at the Museum is a different theme, (May is Science Circus) which includes various interactive science crafts, activities, exhibits, planetarium shows, and a chance to view the night sky in Palm Beach County's only public observatory (weather permitting). Admission to Nights at the Museum: $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors, $12.95 for children (3-12), FREE for children under 3, and $12.95 for adult members (child members are FREE).
