The Teen Police Academy is an education program for teens (13-16) of Palm Beach.
Participants are required to attend all five daily sessions from 9am-4pm on Monday, June 12th through Friday, June 16th. Graduation will take place on Friday, June 16th and parents are encouraged to attend. Activities include: “Ride-alongs” in official police boat and vehicles; Tour the Palm Beach County Jail; Police Department agility test; Educational sessions about firearms safety, and use, crime scene investigation, drug awareness, water rescue, first Aid, CPR, and social media safety. The program fee is $150 for the first child and $50 for each additional sibling, which includes uniform tops and daily lunch. Located in Palm Beach. Tips for a Successful Day Camp Experience
• Apply sunscreen before leaving home - send a bottle for reapplication and pack a hat.
ª Bring two water bottles one that is frozen to enjoy later as it melts.
• Label items brought to camp so they don't get lost
• Do not bring valuable items like electronics

Creating a positive first experience with gardening can start with this simple advice:
• Dedicate a spot for a junior garden, which allows you to instill a sense of pride and ownership in the little gardener while protecting your own garden areas from ambitious young hands.
• Provide appropriate tools in child sizes. Just as you would teach a child the finer points of baseball using a bat and glove, demonstrate the joys of gardening with tools such as a rake, hoe and trowel, all of which can be found in sizes more
