Ferdinand Teguh Hi! My name is Ferdi. I currently studied Architect Professional Program (PPAr) at Universitas Indonesia. I enjoy designing spaces (especially a personal one, such as residentials) because of the uniqueness and story behind each one of them. Then to share the story using image and film as the medium.

2033: New Normal
13 years after the outbreak happened, now we live in a different world. The norm, culture, and habit that define our society has changed. We still lived as a social being but connected through technology. Life wrapped by fear of another outbreak paid by human’s free will. This final project tries to portray how an architectural design that prioritizes human health and safety far above other needs, including human freedom itself. A concept in which humans must sacrifice freedom to stay healthy. Using technology that always adapt to accommodate daily human life. In paper, that should be very diverse, but in fact monotonous. Going to work, going home, eating, socializing, and resting, a human routine. In the end, this design is a thought experiment conceptualized based on research and future imaginary conditions. The goal is to see how an architecture that has been known as “rigid” has become more able to adapt using technology. Where there is action, there will be reaction. Architecture that is able to adapt is an action, and the reaction that occur is the daily life of people who become “rigid”, not free. Keywords: Adaptive, Cycle, Flexibility, Stability, Sustainability, System, Technology. Year 2020 (1st Half) Tutor Dr. Ir. Hendrajaya Isnaeni, M.Sc. Farid Aditama Rakun, S.Ars., M.Arch. Forming Process of Adaptation
Taking a gaze forward to the future, the Covid-19 case is not going down day after day. Eventually, the enforced social distancing cannot be upheld anymore because the Tambora residents must socialize to survive. This led to more cases of Covid-19 until the end of 2020 where the government started to build a new community to prioritize the health and safety of the people. In 2033, when the new technology has become easier to adapt by the people, a new normal starts to emerge, therefore creating a new society with a new culture.

The Creative Commons
Year 2010’s in Indonesia, there’s a growth in art appreciation and usage “third space” as a workspace and for hangout / discussion space. The Creative Commons designed as a space to connect aspiring and famed artists to the wide society. Located in Melawai Raya, one of the historic entertaiment district in Jakarta. Easily Accessible by public transport, bicycle, or private vehicle. The space can be arranged to fulfill the artist’s naration of the art, including outdoor and indoor space. Also create a two way discussion with the audience in the cafe. To reduce the space, the parking garage is also operated automatic-ly and create a “photogenic” display of cars. Keywords: Open-space, Technology, Regulated Design.

Project Elysian
As our innovation moves forward, our demand for energy keeps rising. Project Elysian is a building with a system of harvesting and conserving energy from renewable energy sources independently. The building will harvest its own energy from solar radiation, wind, and tidal waves. It will also store the energy by utilizing dynamic architecture. The design can drive innovation on how building consumes energy and as a precedent for future “Positive energy building”. Keywords: Positive Energy Building, Dynamic Architecture, Energy Harvest.
