It can take upto 20 years for Beluga Sturgeon to reach its maximum size and weigh upto 2 tonnes.The eggs are largest of the fish eggs used for caviar.Beluga usually ranges from violet to black, lighter shade costing more. They are found in Italy and France. It has a pungent odour similar to that of deep fried walnuts. They are served as thin slices on top of other food and also sold in the form of truffle oil.Matsutake is common name for mushrooms found in Japan.It can cost upto 2000$ per kilogram and yearly around 1000 tons harvest is done. 4. Kobe Beef Kobe beef is taken from Wagyu cattle in Japan. It is bred according to a secret and with firm traditions. This breed of cow is fed on beer and grain, hence gives very tender meat. The beef can cost upto 300$ per pound. This breed of cow produces more oleaginous and unsaturated fat.


5. Bird’s nest soup and shark fin soup. The bird’s nest soup is made from the Cave Swift bird by spitting. The chemicals are dried in air and made in form of nest. While cooking this nest is melted again and becomes gelatinous in texture. The shark fin soup is another quite expensive soup having odd taste. 6. Lobsters and oysters Lobsters live in the bottom of sand along the coast or in rocks and very difficult to find.
