Das Projekt war als kreisförmiger Weg organisiert, der zwei Blöcke miteinander verbindet. Die erste beinhaltet die gemeinschaftlichen Aktivitäten der Begegnung und die zweite die Aktivitäten der Fokuscharakteristika einer Bibliothek. Durch diesen Weg kann man die gesamte Sammlung finden, die bequem vom Rest des Gebäudes für Denkmalschutzvorschläge isoliert werden kann. Die Lernbereiche befinden sich auf geschlossenen Räumen und auf dem Weg selbst, wenn er das Gebäude verlässt, und decken damit die Bedürfnisse des Studiums im Freien ab, da der Weg durch einen Garten führt und damit den Konzepten des divergierenden und konvergenten Denkens entgegensteht.

Die Bibliothek beschäftigt sich mit zwei gegensätzlichen Studientypen und bietet mit Garten und halboffenem Innenhof auch Raum für Versammlungen.

Die Bücherregale der Bibliothek bestehen aus einem Spalier, das in der Mitte des zweiten Blocks verläuft und in einem Durchgang endet, der mit dem ersten Block auf einem durch den Garten verlaufenden Arbeitsbereich verbunden ist.

The construction industry is the greatest consumer of natural resources, using between 17% to 50% of those available. The volume of construction waste generated worldwide every year will nearly double to 2.2 billion tons by the year 2025. At the same time many buildings remain empty or abandoned, structures that could be used are improductive or too damaged. It is now time to have an architecture that can be mobile and interconected. To approach this issue and offer to the city an organic system that can be informed with community’s needs. Cellbotics is an exploration of the topic.

Flat pieces offer a formal challenge: If we want to explore curves, how to integrate the parts on a 3d object and change direction of a stream of pieces? Working mainly with joinery studies, the project offers a customizable clicking system after many iterations result of visual programming and prototyping as design process. Certainly furniture that at a certain time were perfect, will suddenly not be adequate. What if we can adapt and disassemble furniture and then transform into something else easily without use of equipment, bolts and screws? This is the proposal of this system with only the use of flat pieces.

• Ganthous Apartment Renovation Renovation of a 50’ies apartment to contemporary use

This 50’ies apartment no longer fulfilled the needs of the owners who were expecting a child by the time of the project. Originally it had 3 small bedrooms and the whole plan was fragmented. With the renovation plans the wet areas are constrained into one section of the apartment and related areas were connected, allowing more fluidity and more confort with only 2 bedrooms. I was part of the project from detailing phase until initial construction work, also dealing with budged planning and management.
