There are certain photographers that search for their photography and fight for it all day long and these are the real ones. There are others that use it as an escape from the troubles of life. Federico Ferrario is among the latter and makes his best pictures whenever is in a state of emotive difficulty. He abstracts himself from reality by taking a picture trying to make the best looking image he can in that moment to avoid his sufferance. Every pictures can be different from the previous because he relies only to the realty he is in like a life jacket. Photography is an anesthetic from inner pain that has began when he was facing the strong conflicts in his family generated by an egocentric and violent father. !
