FAQ’S.
WHY DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION? They are fun, fresh and all about you two: in your favorite locations, favorite outfits, and with your favorite person - your life long best friend who you will soon be marring! This is a time worth documenting. Our sessions are laid back and are a great opportunity to get to know each other, and allow you to feel more comfortable with the camera and more confident about your wedding pictures. By then you will be pros, and you will have some great, relaxed and real photos that are just about the two of you!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR ST YLE? We have a very natural and photojournalistic approach to our photography. Having two photographers for every event allows us to capture two different points of view and allows us to deliver a more complete level of coverage to our clients. Our mission, is to incorporate your vision with our experience, skills, and creative eye - capturing those candid in between moments, fancy formals, and beautiful details that make you and your wedding unique. We are imaginative and diligent, taking exceptional care in our shooting and processing to get you the best results we can produce.
DO YOU T WO TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? Yes we most certainly do! Michigan is a fantastic state to have a wedding, but we love to travel, both nationally and internationally. So if you are going to have your special day somewhere exotic or remote, take us with you and let us document the whole shebang. We require airfare, gas, and lodging. Depending on the time of year and location of your destination or out of state wedding, adjustments can be made to our wedding collections to accommodate for travel costs.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS? Shortly after your big day, you will get a few preview images on Facebook and/or our blog within several weeks to keep you both excited. The best news? After that short wait you will have these images for a lifetime. We go through every image taken and custom edit each image to give your whole wedding collection a beautiful unified look. This process will take approximately 7-12 weeks to be posted on your password protected online gallery for easy viewing and ordering.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE FROM OUR WEDDING DAY? On average we deliver between 600-800 photos for a full wedding day. Each of our wedding collections include all of your carefully selected and fully processed high resolution images from your big day on a custom USB as well.
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED TO SCHEDULE FOR FORMAL PORTRAITS? We suggest anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hours. Roughly 30 minutes for each section of photographs - that would include family, bridal party, and your portraits as a couple. The more time the better. If you want the dreamy relaxed wedding photos you see on our site and in magazines, you will need to plan the time on your big day. Scheduling time in addition to this to account for the distractions, delays along with travel on a typical wedding day is highly recommended.
WHAT IS A FIRST LOOK? A first look is where the bride and groom get to see each other before the ceremony. That being said, depending on your scheduled ceremony time, there are some awesome advantages to doing a first look. We find a beautiful private spot, away from all the flurry of preparation and set your groom up with his back turned, eyes closed, or covered awaiting the moment to see his bride. This is a moment that is just between you two to feel the emotion and joy of what you are about to do together. Being able to have this moment just between each other allows for a different kind of intimacy, allowing it to truly sink in and enjoy what is just yours as a couple. And from that moment on, the day is spent together! After getting photos of just the two of you, we then have plenty of time for fun photos with the bridal party and timeless family portraits. Time for you to enjoy the people who have come from far and wide to celebrate this day. No stress in making sure every one is in the right place for photos after the ceremony, no worrying about your guests waiting for you at the reception. Just time to celebrate!

TRAVEL COSTS Costs are reflective of the gas and additional travel time reserved for sessions or events more than 1 hour from Rochester Hills, Michigan: 1-1.5 hours will cost the client $50 2-3 hours will cost the client $100 4-6 hours is $300 plus lodging Flights and lodging costs are determined by time of year, location, etc. and will be agreed upon for each individual client needs.
ADDITIONAL TIME It’s a day you’ll want everything documented, so invest in the time necessary for us to cover it all. More time means more photos and often translates to a less rushed schedule. Additional time is $100 per hour.

RESERVATION OF DATE. Upon the signing of this document, Fetter Design & Photography will reserve the date listed above, and the amount of time specified for the services ordered. Fetter Design & Photography will not make any other commitments of reservations in conflict with the time specified for the client as agreed in this contract. For the above reason a 50% deposit is mandatory and non-refundable, regardless of client cancellation of photographic services. This deposit is non- refundable for all reasons including changes in clients schedule, extreme weather etc. The deposit must be paid upon signing of this contract. Fetter Design & Photography reserves the right to accommodate the client in the event of a date change if desired by Fetter Design & Photography. The following contract has the sole purpose of ensuring that all parties involved in the photography services of Fetter Design & Photography are in agreement as to what is expected and provided for your wedding. Upon the signing of this agreement, Fetter Design & Photography enters a contract with (Bride) ____________________ & (Groom) ______________________ on (Today’s Date)_______________. (Either name—Bride or Groom—is sufficient for accepting and signing this document.)
PAYMENT SCHEDULE. The 50% deposit made by the client goes directly towards the clients total. Full payment is due to Fetter Design & Photography before the photography services begin. A payment plan can be arranged with Fetter Design & Photography; however, the 50% deposit upon date reservation is mandatory. Once payment has been made in full, all benefits, products, and services purchased will be delivered to the client within the agreed upon completion timeline. The client agrees that failure to pay according to the payment schedule will halt the progress of the photography services or goods until the schedule is resumed and the amount owed is paid in full. If photography services are halted for any reason by the client, and special arrangements are not made and agreed upon by Fetter Design & Photography, a refund will not be available to the client. Any returned checks, regardless of the reason, will cost the client $50. If payments are not made on time a 5% late fee will be added to the payments owed by the client.
SERVICES CONSULTATION. Fetter Design & Photography will meet with the client either in person, by email, or over the phone before the date of services requested as deemed necessary by Fetter Design & Photography. The time spent in meeting with the customer will ensure the clients satisfaction, and give both parties a clear understanding of what is expected. Fetter Design & Photography will not be held responsible for miscommunication of services if the client rejects the pre-consultation.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES. Client is to provide clear direction for specific photographs expected as a result of the photography services. If Fetter Design & Photography agrees to meet these expectations, every effort will go into making sure they happen. Anything not specified by the client will be done to meet the high standards of the employees of Fetter Design & Photography. Physical or abusive behavior will not be tolerated by anyone at Fetter Design & Photography. Failure to abide by this will release Fetter Design & Photography from their end of this contract. Non-professional or hobby photographers present at the time of the wedding photography services will not receive time or space for their own photography while Fetter Design & Photography is at work. Any intentional damage made to Fetter Design & Photography’s equipment by the client or an individual associated with the client is expected to be paid for in full by the client.

IMAGE LIST. Fetter Design & Photography recommends the client provide a list of any ‘out of the ordinary’ shots that are important to them. Fetter Design & Photography cannot guarantee photographs of every person in attendance at the wedding. We will always strive to get the best, and most creative shots we can; however, Fetter Design & Photography does not guarantee to capture every photo on the list provided by the client. We will make every attempt to capture the wedding day as it unfolds, and we aim to document the day as if it were our own.
L I M I TA T I O N O F L I A B I L I T Y. Fetter Design & Photography will make every effort to create and deliver quality art and documentation in the form of wedding photography services; however, the entire liability of Fetter Design & Photography for any claim, loss, injury, or damage arising from this agreement is limited to a refund to the client of the amount received by Fetter Design & Photography. In the uncommon event of unforeseen severe illness, emergency, or any other circumstances beyond the control of Fetter Design & Photography, professional replacement photography will be assigned by Fetter Design & Photography to complete your services requested in this contract. If a replacement photographer is not available our responsibility and liability will be limited to a full refund of all payments made for the specified photography services in this contract.
EDITORIAL RIGHTS. Fetter Design & Photography is given permission by the undersigned for unrestricted use of the names and photographs of the client for advertising, marketing, or any other lawful purpose. Fetter Design & Photography reserves full editorial rights over the images captured at the event including the right to delete or alter any and all images they consider not to meet their normal technical and artistic quality standards. Images edited by the client and posted online must have typed information associated with them. The client must specify that the image has not been edited by Fetter Design & Photography. The following wording is recommended and may used to meet the above requirement. “This image has been edited By: Client Name.”
COMPLETION SCHEDULE. Digital optimization and delivery of the wedding photography services specified in this document will take approximately 7-12 weeks depending on the services selected and the schedule of Fetter Design & Photography. Any images desired before the completion of all images for any reason will be made available for an additional charge of $35 per image. This fee would only apply if the client desires any images before they are up on our online gallery in the 7-12 week time frame.
SEVERABILIT Y & ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This agreement contains the entire understanding between Fetter Design & Photography and the client(s). It supersedes all prior and simultaneous agreements between the parties. The only way to add or change this agreement is to do so in writing, signed by all parties. If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable under the law, the validity of this agreement as a whole shall not be affected, and the other provisions of the agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
