Looking at our financial performance, our annual turnover is close to a million. We’re doing pretty well with our current situation.” On a successful path, Lilly Mae’s recent home care franchising model will be expanding its service area. Alkan Ozkan explains the model: “We educate franchisees for a year, under what we call mentoring, and aim to get back the principal amount people invested along with some profit. We offer people a franchise partnership model. We teach the business to those who want to build a partnership model. The important thing is to gain some experience and get them to transfer this experience into their work. Home Care is a business that is much needed and has continuity. We also want to make sure that more Turks are involved.” With this model, Alkan also wishes to break the prejudice that believes ‘Every Turk in the UK will be a kebab shop owner or barber’: “Our people can work professionally anywhere in the UK”.
