FEATURES ABAJO PEAK With a new look and the same exceptional frame and great components you have come to trust has made the Abajo Peak Fezzari's most popular cross country bike. We start with the F4A frame. It provides better pedaling up and down hills with less bob; better cornering with offset chainstays for more lateral stiffness; better performance and durability with sealed bearings on the pivots; lower standover clearance to jump on and off easier; a slightly more relaxed head angle (69 degrees) for improved control in cornering and descending; and finishes that are second to none. Other benefits include: A bend in the top tube to give lower standover clearance because often when you need to put a foot down on the trail you're not on level ground and you need as much clearance as you can get. Bearings on every pivot (rather than bushings which is the industry standard) that provide superior performance and durability. Off-set chainstays for more lateral stiffness. Hydroformed (drawn) tubes, rather than traditional gussets provide superior strength and durability, and are lighter. Improved suspension that incorporates the most proven 4-Bar Link rear suspension on the market with refinements that distribute bump stress through four links and provides a more vertical wheel path than many other full suspension frames. A vertical wheel path means that when you're pedaling the bike won't bob up and down, but it will still absorb the bumps. Butting (thinning the tubing walls in the right places) to lower weight. Upgraded front shock - upgrade from the RockShocx XC 28 to the RockShox XC 30, which is stronger and performs better. Upgraded disc brakes - go from the Tektro mechanical disc brakes to Avid Elixir 3 disc brakes. They have more adjustability, more stopping power, and will help with hand fatigue on long descents.
