much rubbish away. The rubbish usually ends up in landfill sites which are destroying the earths atmosphere
What are the alternatives and how are they worse for the enviroment? The alternatives are: Recycling and throwing the rubbish in the landfill sites. Recycling isn’t bad for the enviroment but it takes up a lot of energy and time in the process. Throwing rubbish in the landfill sites is really bad because the rubbish rotts, it produces greenhouse gases such as Methane and Carbon Dioxide, which rises up into the atmosphere and destroys the ozone layer. The ozone layer is protecting us from the sun and if we destroy it all, the sun will burn up the earth.

About one fifth of the contents of household dustbins is paper and card (of which half is newspapers and magazines) - equivalent to over 4kg of waste paper per household each week. Think of all the things you could make out of that!
