TRENDING TODAY AT #FGCU - FGCU will take a season-high seven-game winning streak into Saturday’s game against Kennesaw State. With last weekend’s win over USC Upstate, the team eclipsed the six-game streak to open the season. - With today’s game, FGCU will begin a stretch that sees them on the road for six of the next eight games. The Eagles just finished a 7-0 home stand that pushed its home record to 11-0 this year. - FGCU is 20-2 all-time against Kennesaw State, including an 8-2 record on the road (2-0 at neutral sites). The Eagles have won 14 straight in the series dating back to Jan. 4, 2012.

Rose Julien and the FGCU defense has held opponents to 60 or fewer points nine times this season.

GAME 21 THE GREEN AND BLUE FGCU enters Saturday as the top-ranked team in both the CollegeInsider.com and espnW mid-major polls. The Eagles, who are also receiving votes (3) in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll and sit at 38 in the latest NCAA RPI poll, are now 10-0 in Alico Arena this year. The Eagles are coming off a 93-60 win over USC Upstate on Monday. It was the second straight game in which the team has produced 90 or more points, and they've hit at least 80 in all three ASUN wins with at least a 20 point margin of victory. On Monday, China Dow produced her second double-double of the season and the third of her career. The senior recorded 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals while making a season-high nine field goals. Erica Nelson (14), Nasrin Ulel (14), Rosemarie Julien (11) and Lisa Zderadicka (10) each added double figures, while Taylor Gradinjan finished 3-for-5 from 3-point range for nine points. Tytionia Adderly added six points, seven rebounds and four assists. Adderly (Jupiter, Fla./Cardinal Newman HS) passed Katie Meador (422, 2012-16) on the program's career rebounding list. She now has 427 and is 12 shy of her current teammate, Gradinjan, for seventh place. Adderly averages more rebounds per game (8.1) in her career than any other player in program history during the Division-I era. Gradinjan (Cudahy, Wis./Cudahy HS), meanwhile, competed in her 132nd game in an FGCU uniform in the win over USC Upstate, which ties her with DyTiesha Dunson (2012-16) and Sarah Hansen (2009-14) for fourth place on the career list. She is four shy of passing Katie Meador (135, 2012-16). Nelson (Kansas City, Mo./Lee Summit North HS) has scored 10 or more points in four of the past five games to push her average from 7.8 to 8.8 per game. She's averaging 11 points per contest in ASUN play, and she's 38 points away from totaling 500 in her FGCU career. Dow (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy of Louisville) now has 855 points in her NCAA career, which continues to give her a chance to reach 1,000 before the end of the season. Her 10.4 PPG this year is a career-high,

up from her 8.7 PPG last year. Her 22 point game against USC Upstate was her third with at least 20 this year, and it was her ninth in double figures. In 55 career games, Julien (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast HS) has 641 points, or 11.7 per game. This year, she's averaging a team-high 12.8, and she has reached double figures in 14 of 20 games. Zderadicka (Vienna, Austria/HAK Korneuburg) needs 11 points against Kennesaw State to push her ASUN average to 10. She has at least four assists in each conference game and needs 29 points for 700 in her NCAA career, which began at Houston Baptist. SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE

Over the past seven games, Kennesaw State (4-10, 0-3 ASUN) has had four players average nine points or better, led by freshman Kamiyah Street (18.9 PPG). The others include Carlotta Gianolla (13 PPG), Alexis Poole (12.4 PPG) and Clara Young (9 PPG). Poole is also averaging 9.6 rebounds during that stretch. The Owls are led by Street and Poole, both of who are freshman. Overall, Street averages 16.4 points and 4.5 rebounds. She was the ASUN player of the week on Dec. 19, and she's a four-time ASUN freshman of the week. Poole, a 6-2 forward, is averaging 9.6 points and 8.2 rebounds overall this year. Gianolla, a 6-1 sophomore, averages 9.9 per game this year, including 14.2 over the past six contests. Kennesaw State is expected to start Street, Poole, redshirt senior guard Ciara Young (7.1 PPG), Gianolla and junior guard Iceis Walker (4.0 PPG). Young is the team's lone senior, while Street and Poole are two of five freshmen on the roster. In fact, Street ws a two-time Atlanta Journal-Constitution Georgia 6A Player of the Year in high school. The Owls are 0-9 when getting out rebounded this year, and they're 2-8 when trailing at the half. Two key areas in which opponents have taken advantage of them this year are in the turnover battle and from the 3-point line as Kennesaw State commits 21.1 turnovers per game and shoots just 43-for-182 (.236) from long range.

TAYLOR GRADINJAN

AUSTRIAN WEAPON In addition to returning 1,737 points from last year’s team, FGCU head coach Karl Smesko has added Vienna, Austria native Lisa Zderadicka to the roster. The 5-6 guard led Houston Baptist with 11 points per game last year (276 total points). Thus, with her addition, the Eagles have over 2,000 NCAA Division I points from last year available. In addition to her scoring, Zderadicka averaged 4.5 rebounds last year, which was second on the team at Houston Baptist and would have tied China Dow for second on the FGCU roster last year behind Tytionia Adderly.

NEXT UP IN THE NEST In addition to Zderadicka, FGCU added four transfers who will sit out this year due to NCAA Division I transfer rules - three of which either led their school in scoring or finished in the top three last year. Davion Wingate tied for the team-high in scoring at 11.8 PPG for Stony Brook; Keri Jewett-Giles tallied 9.0 PPG for Southern Miss; and Kerstie Phills poured in a teamhigh 13.1 PPG for Wagner en route to NEC Rookie of the Year recognition. Kerstie is the daughter of the late Bobby Phills, who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets. The fourth transfer is Tyra Cox, who joined the team mid-year from William & Mary.

UPPERCLASSMEN PRESENCE

BUSINESS TRIP

Among eligible players, this year’s roster features six upperclassmen, including five seniors and one junior. Taylor Gradinjan is the elder statesman on the team with this being her sixth year following two ACL tears to start her career. Jessica Cattani and China Dow are both fifth-year seniors, while Erica Nelson and Rose Julien are in their second season at FGCU following two years at Johnson County CC and Chipola College, respectively, and each player won an NJCAA national title. Lisa Zderadicka, who is a graduate transfer from Houston Baptist, is a fourth-year junior.

Earlier this year, FGCU completed an eight-game, 19day road trip that saw the team produce a 6-2 record. Included in the trip was victories over No. 21 DePaul, FIU, Akron, Kent State, Siena and two-time defending Southland Conference champion Abilene Christian. The lone two losses came to No. 8 Ohio State and Belmont, both of which made the NCAA Tournament last year. The team also finished 4th in the Play4Kay Showcase in Las Vegas Nov. 23-25.

OVERTIME HISTORY FGCU is now 7-6 all-time in the NCAA Division-I era in overtime games following the 89-84 win over No. 21 DePaul on Nov. 23. Three of those games have come against Stetson, and the Eagles hold a 2-1 record in those. FGCU Women’s Basketball Road Trippin’ - Nov. 14-25
