Dedicated to all the dreamers of dreams and make-believers. And Sam and Anna
Š 2002 Mike Anderson
The snow it came in droves today And slippered all around.
Like pedal-cakes upon the shelf It lay upon the ground
The soft-shoed hero of Grover Lane Jumped, splash, into a lake
And soaked his running, jumping shoes With droplets from the wake.
High-held hands of happiness love, Dripping now with white
Give rise to wondrous pleasures And days of sheer delight.
A piece of cake to sooth his calm, Milk to sooth his mother.
He commands his mighty armies weight, And meekly asks, “Another?
Mars he sees throughout the knight, The sun he sees by day.
The days they’ll drag so painfully fast, Until he’ll sea his way.
