Music_ Rhythm_ Art _Humor_ This is a workplace project, designed for a music publish company in Brooklyn, in industry city. This company has a close relationship with Brooklyn local musicians. My design trying to make this space not only a workplace for their employee but also a meeting space for communication with their clients. Therefore, while ensuring that the entire space meets the needs of the working atmosphere, it is filled with many Playful and lively elements, making the entire space more inclusive and welcoming. So I designed this mood board focus on rhythm and art Humor. “Rhythm” is to echo the theme of the music, and then “Humour” to mobilize a relaxed and lively atmosphere.

“HIDE AND SEEK” “Attunement Collaborative” is a school for therapy which provides classroom and individual instruction in all high school subjects as well as individual therapy, group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, extreme exposure therapy, learning specialists, and art, music, and performance therapy for students struggling to combat anxiety.

Marerial & Color Palette - “Hide the color” Among a gray mainstream color board, the gradient colorful details was hide in some specific zoon to highlight the experimental comfort. Regarding the gray and colorful details as the front and back sides of a paper, the colorful region is waiting for the users to turn it up and find their meaning.
Section - Not a isolated “Utopia” Find their own sense of belonging： They need a place as “shelter/hut”, but from my intention, these ”hut” should not be some kind of isolated “Utopia”, On the contrary, I want them to be more sensitive feel the outside changes. In order to achieve this, The interaction was built among the light outside, the architecture structure and the students’ movements. Since the light is changing all the time, and every students have their own special movement in this space, they can have a specific unique impression towards the lighting effect. The therapy was built on the foundational concept of “ shelter”, but only avoiding the reality is not the therapy process.

The circulation is set along the “ shelter” space and link up through the whole space. The polygonal line shape create lots of interesting corners which provide these “shelters” with great circumstances.

In this project, lots of hand- drawings are used to illustrate the interaction among light, structure and material.

There is a performance space in this school to encourage more students to show their talents. The performance space is set at the traffic intersection on the second floor, facing the leisure space on the opposite side, and the green space behind. Viewers can lie down on the grass behind the stage to enjoy the performance.
The entrance area is entered from the slope. Special reflective materials are set on the slope. A very private leisure space is set up at the same position on the second floor. The floor is a translucent material with gradient colors. Therefore, when students are moving on the second floor, the reflective effect of the slope on the first floor creates a dynamic effect.
Perspactive 3 On first floor, most of the space is communal, such as library, lecture room, playground, and interest classrooms. Also, this floor encourage parents to take part into some activities with their children, it can also be called a floor for family time.
Climbing Wall (Zoon 3) A climbing wall is set opposite the spa space on the third floor, which is the focus of the whole space. There are many small “caves� set in the rock climbing wall. Students can climb to some place and hide in the small caves.
PROJECT - 3 Residential
“1+1>2”
This residential town house are designed for 2 family. The main concept is beginning with how to deal with the relationship between the two families, and trying to find a perfect way to protect each family’s privacy and encourage them to build a good community. The design mainly wants to the interaction between two family become a kind of therapy for each other, in order to activate each family which lack of communication between generations to find warm of company in family. One family is one couple who have adopted a 7 year old boy, and an another son, age 16, from a previous marriage. The other family is a young couple lived with their old parents.

These three area which come through multiple layers become a kind of “sculpture kind” common regions that connect its adjacent private rooms. For the A area, a movie space is set on the stair and the two bedroom are located opposite to each other; For B area, the garden on first floor and roof on second floor was connected by a common element - liner sculpture, which functional diagram is shown on the left.
Color & Material Palette
The main color in the whole space is gray in different layer, which provide a quiet background to hold small colorful and playful details. The design mean to lead the resident to capture happy moments in this house and remember them.The simple gray style background is more suitable to match this relatively complex structure, as well as since more than 9 person live in this house, it could avoid creating a too crowded atmosphere. Most of the soft furniture are in red, orange, or wooden color, which serve as the spotlights to absorb attention, contributing to a more warm and playful atmosphere. Also, the translucent material invite a kind of fresh green and blue color into inside space, plays as a medium role to connect inside space and outside nature.

Perspective A The two bedroom on the 1st floor and 2rd floor was connected by a “green box” full of green moss and ferns. For the bedroom on first floor, the wall behind their bed changed to a green plant wall. The outside sunlight come through the green plant and glass, then achieve the sleeping area on first floor. what a poetical moment! For the bedroom on second floor, the top surface of the “green box” become a flexible area next to the sleeping area, where the young couple can use it to read, to relax, to enjoy the sense of nature. The setting of this “green box” encourages the communication between the two bedrooms by providing a split-level.

This movie area become the open living room for the family A, which is located on stair. This region connect 3 bedrooms between 2nd floor and 3rd floor. Among them, the two bedroom on the 3rd floor are opposite to each other, one is for the kid and the other one for the young parents, which provide both privacy and opportunity for interaction. The bedroom on 2nd floor is designed as a guest bedroom.
PROJECT - 4 Retail Space for Perfume Lighting Design
This is a retail space used for perfume showing. Use Monet’s drawing of water lily as an inspiration of this space. Through Deconstruction and Reconstruction of this painting, get a clear idea of this space. This project is a small experiment to analyse the relationship between color, light and material.6, from a previous marriage. The other family is a young couple lived with their old parents.

Architectural Concept Project Underwater Temporary Shelter

Crystallization process of NaCl liquid drop In chemistry, after the hot saturated solution cools down, the solute separates out in form of crystals. This process is called crystallization. Generally, only molecules or ions of same kind can arrange in an organized way. Therefore, the process of crystallization has high selectivity. However, the process of crystallization is complicated. The crystals differ in size and shape, and crystal family is possibly formed. This process triggered my thinking on coexisting status of solid and liquid. The very moment when liquid just turns into solid, which kind of form is in favor of the existence and growth of solid? Accordingly, this triggers my thinking of how to place solid building in water environment.

Starting from the crystal structure, look for the building monomer that is suitable for human to live in the water. Conduct screening according to its residence feasibility and overall consideration after there are various practicable crystal structure found.
Crystal internal space and residence Different forms of the crystal result in extremely different internal space and great difference from the use of traditional square building space; the unique internal geometric space can create unique space atmosphere through texture, lights and furniture. Therefore, study the internal space and the possible use pattern as well as the created space atmosphere by means of the cutting plane.

Design the interior space starting from the crystal structure. Pay special attention to the rotation sequence of the building in the water while design, that is to say, determine the adjacent relations according to the function of each plane. And different user requirements are fully considered to conduct the individualized design.
1.Space deigned for spectator
The space is relatively small and is divided into three areas, i.e. observation area, work discussion area and leisure area. It is only for short time use, or is used together with other spaces.
2.Space deigned for tourists
There are two kinds of design, one for a single family, the other one for the space lived by many people. The space is mainly used for residence, entertainment and observation, has complete life functions, and is available for the long-term residence of human. Each plane has its own unique function, such as the plane for eating, living space, communication space and learning space.

Taking the laboratory space and observation space as the main spaces, there are only three available planes, and the space can not be overturned due to the particularity of the laboratory.
“Frozen mushroom”temporary station in arctic
A temporary station for the arctic enthusiasts is set in the offshore area of North Pole. Those building crystals can float in the interior and the adjacent exterior zone of the temporary station according to the needs of the users. For example, while observation, their building crystals can be closed to the cabin door of the temporary station, or attached to its outer surface, or directly free outside. During the night and rest, the building crystal can be placed on the floor of the temporary station and is fixed by the butt joint with other crystals. This temporary station can flow up and down, and the “building crystals” inside can realize the location change, angle selection and shift of space size through movement, rotation and butt joint. According to their own needs, habitants can adjust the building crystal in accordance with the variation with time.

With the help of the regulating of the water level and the support of the rod, the whole station can move up and down, so that the occupants can have more different living experiences.the crystal aggregation way for the architecture also promoted the interaction of the people from independent spaces. For example, when the two building crystal docking, two people who have the willingness to communicate, can put two independent spaces connected into a through space for communication.

There is no water between floors of the temporary station shell, and all the "building crystals" inside can not be rotated by the action of water and are not easy to move. Habitants can walk out from the building crystal and conduct some activities on the floor.

The fuction of the internal central water stirsge well structure While the whole station floats upward, the internal central upward water storage 1.float well structure can drain through the drain hole at the bottom, then the whole building becomes lighter, while the buoyancy force is constant, and the building goes down. In the same way, while the building goes down, the central water storage well can store water.

main view: The temporary station is under the water and touches the seabed The whole temporary station imitates the growing characteristics of favia speciosa The population is usually in clumpy or spherical with the coral polyp skeleton about 7 - 8 mm in diameter and about 4 - 5 mm recessed inward. The coral polyps distributed in the surface of the population will stretch out at night, similar to a cluster of blooming chrysanthemum in form. As the corals on the surface can shrink under the miserable conditions and provide the strong internal protection, favia speciosa can grow in many different coral reefs, especially under the submarine bench with strong sea current.
Process of the building crystal entering into the temporary station
1. Prepare to enter into.
2. Close the inner cabin door of the temporary station and open the exterior cabin door, then the temporary crystal closes to the inner cabin door.
3. Close the exterior cabin door of the temporary station, and the building crystal is between the inner and exterior cabin door.
4． Open the inner cabin door and the building crystal enters into the temporary station.
5. The inner cabin door close when the building crystal totally enters into the station.
