Dear Friends, Over the past years, we have successfully created a strong international network where Clubs can exchange views, form common positions, and engage in new exciting projects and campaigns together across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With new technologies allowing for the provision of a wide-range of innovative services which can improve the safety, comfort and fuel efficiency of today's connected car, Automobile Clubs face a real challenge to stay ahead of competitors. In a fast changing world it is also important to develop cooperation in a more focused way. Our structure of sub-regions and groups will now allow us to consider more local projects that are more directly related to the benefit of all Clubs. We hope that this brochure may provide new ideas about how your Club can best benefit from the many activities run from the Region I office each year. Thanking you for your on-going commitment and support,

IMOBILITY CHALLENGE
Goal To demonstrate the benefits of energy efficient, sustainable and safe mobility through new Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The iMobility Challenge will deploy the appeal of celebrity motorsport drivers to reach professional and public audiences, whilst also offering them the opportunity to test drive new systems for themselves. A major focus will be placed on future ‘cooperative’ technologies whereby connected vehicles are able to communicate with the infrastructure and other vehicles. The FIA is leading the project.

CONSUMER TESTING: EUROTEST
Goal Through EuroTest, 18 Automobile Clubs in 17 countries (all members of the FIA), put the quality and safety of mobility in Europe to the test for the benefit all mobile consumers in Europe. Recent EuroTests have investigated drivers’ knowledge of first aid, motorway service areas, the quality of city bikes, and city cards for tourists. Test methodologies draw on the best available experience and regulation. The EuroTAP programme (also made up of FIA members), inspects the quality of European tunnels.
