Sweetest Christmas Gift

On December 26, Sunrise Ranch – home to longhorn legend Bevo XV – celebrated the arrival of his adorable little sister, Sunrise Sugar.

Named in honor of the University’s invitation to play in the 2024 Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day, Sugar boasts a notable lineage that has ranch co-owners Betty and John T. Baker beaming with pride. “She’s just beautiful. I know Bevo would be proud,” Betty says.

The excitement didn’t stop there; Bevo made a grand appearance in the Sugar Bowl parade, complete with a police escort on the way to the event. “He thinks he’s pretty important. It’s like the king was coming.”
