75% of applicants to APA accredited clinical psychology doctoral programs are denied admission each year. * To help students keep their professional goals in sight, Fielding offers a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Clinical Psychology. This one year, 7-course certificate program strengthens the student’s position as an applicant. Our unique postbaccalaureate certificate program prepares you to be

(1) a competitive applicant to clinical psychology PhD programs and (2) a successful doctoral student.

You will work closely with faculty in our APA accredited clinical psychology PhD program to master the knowledge and skills needed to enter and succeed in a clinical psychology doctoral program. These include:

Critical Thinking ••• Scholarly Writing ••• Knowledge of Psychology and Clinical Psychology ••• Statistics and Research Methodologies

Academic credits earned may be transferred into a variety of graduate programs at universities across the country and around the world. For students admitted into Fielding’s clinical psychology doctoral program, 12 credits will articulate.

For those who do not meet the admission requirements, or whose application is not competitive enough to be admitted, Fielding offers a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Clinical Psychology.
