Black Balloon - BE ClĂŠo Baele & Sarah Bos form the creative brain behind Black Balloon, a Ghent-based label focused on women's wear, menswear and accessories inspired by music and emotions. The men and women's collections of this duo combine simple yet edgy elements, highlighting important details and accurate finishing. Charlotte Valkeniers - UK Valkeniers began her training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, finished her BA studies in Buckinghamshire, to then continue with a Masters Degree at London College of Fashion. Since then, her collection has been picked up by BLOW PR, and obtained vast press coverage including article in Papercut, Glamour and Idol. Eniko Toth-Kern - HU Hungarian footwear designer Enikő Toth-Kern graduated in 2011 from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, specialising in leather apparel. Her collections are the result of a careful selection of experimental objects reinvented and reassembled as footwear. She is driven by an innate romantic undertone, which is clearly noticeable in all her designs. Franziska Kassama - DE Franziska Kassama's focus lies in comfortable designs on high quality materials. Following the launch of the first collection in 2010, she has been playing with notions of elegance and comfort through her cuts and fabrics. The majority of her garments can be worn in multiple ways, thus enhancing wearability and leaving plenty of room for personal interpretations. Heidi Mottram - UK Heidi Mottram is internationally renowned for award winning desirable bags and purses, which are individually designed in London, then produced from fairly traded and hand crafted, finest eel skin leather. A London College of Fashion and Central St Martins graduate, with experience working with major international designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson, Heidi was one of the first designers in the UK to design accessories with eel skin and Poulard leather. She is considered by many to be a guru for the use of the skins. Iris Schieferstein - DE For many years, sculpture Iris Schieferstein has worked with dead animals as the main raw material behind her creations. Forgotten fragments and elements are bound together to form something new, thus bringing death back to life into a more relevant and modern context. Though her work may have caused controversy in the past, it has obtained worldwide recognition and been worn by the likes of Lady Gaga. Jessica Bugg - UK Jessica’s research and practice are situated in line with the development of conceptual and experimental fashion at the edges of subject disciplines. Her work is concerned with innovative design methods that are informed by the body and interdisciplinary practice at the intersection of fashion, fine art and performance. Her background is in Fashion and Textiles and she has designed predominantly for the music industry and contemporary dance. Julia Theobalt - DE After 3.5 years of exhibiting and studying Fine Art at the VCA,in Melbourne, Australia, Julia now lives and works in Berlin, Germany, where she is currently completing her degree in Product Design. Theobalt currently uses reflective materials, light and painting to investigate the ideas around Hard Edge Abstraction with Pop, Minimalism and Installation practices. Miryaki - IT Miryaki is an upcoming Italian brand that in recent years has come to obtain vast national and international recognition. Soon after its launch, the label won the Premio Clam from the Mittelmoda Fashion Awards, and was then invited to presented in Zurich at Kostume. The brand is formed by Mia Vilardo, from Sicily, and Riccardo Polidoro, from Veneto. The mixtures of cultures and personalities form the foundations of this brand, which encompasses elements of both the North and the South of Italy. Its strength lies in reviving Italy's strong sartorial tradition and reintroducing it into a more modern context. SHREKAHNTH - AE Shrekahnth launched his first collection at the Dubai Fashion Week in Spring Summer 2010. He began by working on a new wave of digital art work, making a name for himself by using bold islamic art in his work. Shrekahnth graduated in Fashion Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India. His previous studies at NIFT, Hyderabad introduced him to cut and construction, but also to the value of traditional and exotic Indian silks. Despite there being a traditional history behind each element, his work is very modern and relevant. TESJ - NL The latest Tesj collection consists of a number of leather bags, the accessory Tuutje and a silk scarf with print. The contemporary designs are functional but above all pure and feminine. Tesj is constantly looking for new forms for bags, for example the Tuutje is inspired by a milk jug. Only high-quality leathers are used for Tesj products. Off-colors such as taupe and smog define the collection, contrasted with apple green and a bronze prints. Carmen Gloudemans started her bag label Tesj in 2004, after obtaining the diploma of Fashion Design at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem. Vasso Consola - GR Vasso Consola is an experienced knitwear designer who applies a futuristic approach to handmade, unique designs. After completing her studies in fashion design at the Veloudakis Fashion School in Athens, she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she focused on polishing her draping skills. Her designs have been considered to be threedimensional wearable art pieces, something that has not stopped her from producing pieces that are both wearable and contemporary. Vibe Johansson -DK Vibe Johansson brings an alternative angle to simple, sensual styles that question convention. Nothing superfluous is to be found. The Danish-born, Italian-bread designer Vibe Johansson studied fashion design at the Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, Italy followed by design technology in Copenhagen, Denmark. Yeashin Kim - KR Womenswear designer, Yeashin Kim launched her brand 'SHIN' in 2011.Yeashin was born and brought up in South Korea, though she is currently based in London, where she also graduated from London College of Fashion. ​ Shin's designs are heavily influenced by the UK's 60s style combined with Korean's traditional outfits. Materials of the highest quality are combined with careful details, giving rise to unique collections. Yeashin bright colour palette and attention to detail sets her apart from the norm, focusing on providing luxury wear, whilst still maintaining the label's vibrant identity.
