THE PROBLEM
There is a growing need for competent, quality workforce ready individuals in the marketplace today. Furthermore, for those who have been marginalized the most, workforce readiness is paramount because of 4 underlying reasons.
1. Young People Taking Over the Workplace Have Different Values
Millennials make up the largest group in the workforce - and they're followed closely behind by the next generation! Their dominance alters the dynamic in the workplace and brings about a fresh set of principles. The ‘New Kids’ youth and generational differences play a critical role in their relationship and expectations with businesses today.
2. Boomers Are Retiring, Leaving a Knowledge Gap
The baby boomer generation is retiring, their experience is leaving a “knowledge gap” in companies. Losing three people with an average of 30 years of experience adds up to almost 100 years of knowledge loss. Without proper planning for their successors to ‘pick up the slack’, companies can be left at a great disadvantage.
3. Talent Gap Can Be Augmented With Non-Traditional Training An employee’s success in a company can’t be solely based off education. Schooling used to be an easy filter to admit employees but there are other variables that need to play a much larger role in hiring and retaining the right employees for the job. There is a need for more trade-based training programs to supplement the marketplace.
4. "Job Hopping" Is In
The inclusion of social media and search engines has greatly influenced job hunting. People are more interconnected with prospective companies and hiring firms. Rather than waiting around for a raise at the same company, employees are now hedging their bets in financial security by making themselves available to other companies regardless of the security their current position offers.

LiveLearnLaunch™ is a non-profit organization whose
mission is to help individuals re-imagine their future through vocational training. LLL brings access to the people who need education, experiences, and life opportunities that will relaunch them into a new and successful direction!
AN OPPORTUNITY TO THRIVE! The LearnLiveLaunch™ curriculum is designed to help both men and women prepare to start a new career in their chosen field.
We offer a range of vocational courses in fields that are in high demand for employment across the U.S.
Our dedicated staff of professionals all have real life practical work experience in each of these fields, as well as traditional education.
We also assist in job placement upon completion of the LLL courses. LLL will help you with your resume and the interview skills you need to land the job of your dreams.
THE SOCIAL IMPACT
LiveLearnLaunch™ will work in concert with colleges in the region to develop, implement, and market workforce, EDU and training programs. The programs will be offered for semester credit hours and CE credits, to people who have been in transitional housing or formerly incarcerated.
