add some novelty

75 years of Figgjo In 1941 there were many porcelain factories in Norway. In 2016 we are the only one: Figgjo is the only porcelain factory in the Nordic region that produces everything from A to Z at one location. Local presence, meticulous craftsmanship, modern machinery and a strong focus on innovation has secured us a leading position within Scandinavian design. We supply cups and plates for everywhere from the royal yacht to embassies, hotels, restaurants, institutions and canteens in 35 countries. We collaborate with trendsetting national culinary teams, chefs’ guilds and food organisations, and are proud that the world’s best chefs compete on our porcelain. Constantly being refined

In the factory at Figgjo we work in the space between trends and timelessness. Take Figgjo 35, as an example. The series was designed in 1962, but is still just as relevant. Prestigious design awards confirm that we are innovative – and sometimes provocative, such as with the Figgjo Egg. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary, we present our anniversary collection consisting of Figgjo Undring, Figgjo Duett and an expansion of the popular buffet series Figgjo Boks. Join the celebration!

Figgjo Undring. Create your own masterpiece. There is something exciting about this plate, designed by award winner Lars Tornøe. A hole grows up from the surface, both impressive and surreal at the same time. The circular shapes, one large and one small, give the Figgjo Undring an almost iconic character. The hole can be filled with bowls

The bowls in three sizes can be used for everything from serving a side of sauce, gratin, garnish, marmalade, smoothie – or as a small vase of flowers. Figgjo Undring is an event both for the person preparing the food and for the person eating. The plate also works well w ithout the bowls. Then the hole on its own appears as an e xciting design element.

The location of the hole at the edge frees up space, while at the same time co ntributing to a pleasing composition.

The low profile makes the plate pleasant to eat off. It is perceived as being stable and low, and it is easy to a ccess with cutlery. In addition to holding bowls, the hole can be used in creative ways. You can use the plate as a palette, hang it on the wall or place table d ecorations in the hole. Add some wonder!

A dd s om e VARIET Y

Figgjo Duett and Figgjo Boks. Let the table be an inspiration. Soft, round shapes that surround the food being served? Or a sense of calm and order on the tabletop? Allow us to present Figgjo Duett and Figgjo Boks. Figgjo Duett: Classic and modern in one

Past meets future in the product, inspired by the classic style that was typical of Figgjo in earlier production years. The shape of the lower part is derived from the coffee cup Figgjo Sissel, a sales success in 1954. The classic shape of the bowl glides elegantly over the lid, which has a more modernist design. The asymmetric curvature creates a dynamic and sculptural expression. An exciting setting for an appetiser or dessert. Figgjo Boks: Flexible building blocks

Figgjo Boks with its straight edges is perfect for when you want to serve an abundant buffet. The p roduct range is available in many different sizes and is s pacious without taking up too much space on the table. Now we have complemented the series with an extra large box. It has a length of 53 cm, but is light in weight and easy to handle. With its straight style, Figgjo Boks is easy to combine with other products, and presents an interesting contrast to the sensual Figgjo Duett.

add some novelty

The Figgjo recipe Figgjo is located in beautiful natural surroundings at Figgjo outside Stavanger. Where we use traditional c raftsmanship and a modern machinery to translate classic design into functional and durable porcelain. Some of our products require 52 interventions by human hands during the production process. We have been influenced by the unpretentious Scandinavian design expression where belonging and traditions are just as important as food trends. Figgjo is flexible

Figgjo is a family-owned Norwegian company with long traditions. Norway signals confidence and r eliability. We have fast deliveries. Volume requirements are e xtremely moderate. We can supply as little as one product in a standard design. All products can be c ustom decorated in series as low as 48 pieces. And we can have that ready in 2–4 weeks. Figgjo can be trusted

Figgjo provides a 5-year Chip Warranty on all round flat plates*. We are ISO certified in quality m anagement, environment and energy consumption. We check the quality manually and sort after each firing. Figgjo uses no environmentally harmful raw m aterials, and recycles all unused production material. After f iring, discarded products are recycled as filler. We clean all the air and water used in the factory. * Does not apply to Figgjo Front Dining.

duett & boks The Figgjo Duett is Scandinavian in shape, with tight, clean lines. Meanwhile, there is something playful about where the bowl and the lid meet, and the product has a tactile appearance that gives you an immediate urge to hold it in your hands. Figgjo Boks in the background.

undring The hole rises seamlessly out of the plate and the soft transitions are repeated in the bowls that go with it, which rise up as a continuation of the edge.
