Tamil | Sri Lanka Fiction | 100 mins Awaiting World Premiere

Rudran, an ex-Tamil militant with a disabled leg, returns home, looking for his lover Vaani, who has disappeared during the war. Rudran’s mother, Sellamma, gifted with a boon of soothsaying, tells villagers whether their kith and kin are alive or dead, but she refuses to say the same about Vaani. Vaani, however, suddenly returns home traumatised and haggard by her experience in military detention. Yet Rudran tries to win the hearts of Vaani’s parents, who have prohibited Vaani from seeing Rudran. In an act of desperation, Rudran joins a group of men going on a month-long pilgrimage to pray to God Ayyappa, hoping to change the hearts of his future in-laws.
