ALDHAM HOUSE

ALDHAM HOUSE

It was the kerbside appeal that attracted us initially. My husband has lived in the area all of his life and even he didn’t know that the property was here as it’s so sheltered and tucked away from the road. Aldham House is a wonderful family home situated in the middle of the countryside, yet everything we need is easily accessible and we’re close to the town centre, Worcester, Birmingham, and the motorway, so it really is the best of both worlds here,” say the owners.

“We have some welcoming pubs that serve nice food within walking distance and we enjoy long walks along the canal. There are plenty of opportunities to be outside in the fresh air which is lovely. We have a couple of good gyms nearby, as well as a GP surgery, school, shop, and the local farm has an egg vending machine that sells fresh eggs. There is a nice sense of community here with an active church that hosts a variety of social events and a village Facebook page which is a useful source of information to keep us all up to date with local news and activities.”

“We’ve done a lot of work to the property during our time here, including the addition of a four-car garage and the installation of upgraded fencing, electric gates, and security cameras which all add to the sense of privacy and security. We purchased woodland which is now part of the grounds and opened up the garden to the adjacent field which has really enhanced our outdoor space. We added a new dressing room and en-suites to the bedrooms which is ideal when we have visitors and the house is now much more efficient both economically and in the layout.”

“Aldham House is perfect for day-to-day family life and entertaining. We tend to spend most time in the kitchen/dining area as it’s lovely and light with a good view of the garden. It’s a very social area where we enjoy cooking and informal get-togethers with friends. The garden is a tranquil space where we hear the birds singing all of the time, so it’s great for relaxing and socialising. There’s plenty of room for a marquee if required, so it’s ideal for larger celebratory occasions too.”
