Seller Insight

We first came to view Foredraught Cottage in 1999 and we thought that it was a very characterful and attractive property in a wonderful location. It has beautiful oak beams throughout and we’re close to major towns and the motorway, yet we’re tucked away in the countryside and enjoy the lifestyle that it has to offer, so it really is the best of both worlds here,” say the owners.

“We have a good choice of some lovely walks over fields or alongside the canal and there are lots of local events to take part in, including monthly coffee mornings, book clubs, garden open days, welcoming pubs, and groups for children too. We currently have two busy village halls, one of which may be turned into a local shop in the coming months which would be a useful addition to the community. The local Budgens is well stocked and there is a wide range of amenities in nearby Worcester and Droitwich.”

“We purchased a further 0.5 acres of land to increase the size of our outdoor space which has been a fabulous addition. The fully enclosed garden is perfect for children and animals to play safely. It’s a great space for relaxing and entertaining as there’s plenty of room for a marquee and we’ve enjoyed BBQs and get-togethers with friends and family on the large patio area. It’s private and peaceful too and we often see pheasants, frogs, and muntjac in the garden, as well as swans and ducks on the canal.”

“We have made some big changes to the property during our time here, including an extension which has given us extra bedrooms for our growing family and a larger kitchen which has been a fantastic space for day-to-day family life and entertaining. It’s a really lovely, sunny room where we tend to spend most of our time before heading into the welcoming and cosy lounge in the evening to relax in front of the log burner. There’s still plenty of potential for new owners to make their own mark here as the separate annexe could be adjoined to the two playrooms to create additional accommodation suitable for multi-generational living.”*

The property is approached through brick-built pillars. There is a large front garden which is mainly laid to lawn with attractive flower borders and mature trees. The rear garden is located through an arched entrance and the present owners purchased some extra land to enhance the size, making it a very large south-east facing area. A porcelain tiled patio which wraps around the rear of the property is perfect for entertaining and BBQs. There is a triple oak framed car port with a garden storage shed attached for garden tools and lawn mower.
