A healthy and perfect living environment Most of us pay increasingly more attention to their way of life. Trends indicate that the choice of using healthier products is becoming more conscious. This stems mainly from people’s personal experience: they understand that they can improve their quality of life by making the right choices. Modern log-walls bring together the traditions of the ancestors and the possibility of restoring the natural living environment. When touching a log wall, pleasant warmth can be felt. These walls preserve, and somewhat reanimate, the possibility of staying in the nature throughout the day. The stable humidity regime and the log’s ability to store warmth minimize the possible onset of allergies, and improve both physical and mental health.

Natural patterns bind your family’s living environment into a whole

A house that preserves the environment Mostly only the thermal resistance of a house is noted. This is definitely important, but also the principle of reducing one’s ecological footprint must be kept in mind. In this respect, a log-house cannot be contested. By building the house from a material that has grown in the woods, we are using a naturally re-generating resource. We are giving the descendants the possibility of obtaining something useful from the same place in a hundred year’s time. The production of Finnlog log-houses creates no unnecessary waste. All residual timber is used as fuel: we do not need fossil fuels. One day, in the far future, when the life-cycle of the log-house comes to an end, it is very easy to re-introduce timber back into the life-cycle of the nature: the reclamation of the logs is performed naturally.

When living in a log-house, you can utilize as much nature as necessary, and as little as possible.

Empowered by the past For generations, people have carried their traditions with them. Construction of a log-house is one of the most exemplary instances of carrying on traditions. The continuity of log-house construction in Estonia has been enabled by a sense of practicality: we have had sufficient timber material for the construction of houses. Traditions are deeply imprinted onto our roots. The human soul wishes to taste a sense of unity with the experience of their ancestors and the times-past – this gives a feeling of safety and the power to carry on.

A house, which’ construction has harnessed the knowledge and values passed on throughout the generations, has got the power to support its inhabitants
