The Legacy An impressive trail that requires agility to master
4
The Legacy is a unique unit that combines elements from our Vertical World and Suspended World ranges. Climbing panels create various routes depending on the user’s ability whilst cableways and monkey bars encourage traversing without touching the ground beneath. In the centre of the unit is the Pyramid Net which encourages decision-making - to go over, around or through? The Legacy creates an impressive focal-point in any open space and offers infinite play value as well as challenges for older children.

The tunnel panel provides an excellent final obstacle or half way point for The Legacy. It can be an individual challenge to circle around the tunnel and also provides a place to hang out and chat with friends.

Pyramid 5
The focal point is the large central pyramid. This requires great agility and offers users a number of choices; do you manoeuvre around, through or over the structure? Which will be the fastest?
Pyramid-net junction 6
A simple traversing net, but the flexibility of the rope creates an unexpected surprise; this requires users to adjust their balance accordingly.
Aeroglide
Incline panel
The Aeroglide slides from platform to platform. It requires coordination and strength to perform the perfect take-off and landing. A fun and exhilarating challenge!
This sloping panel allows different challenges to be mastered depending on the confidence of the user. Choose to crawl up, climb up and crawl down or try not using your hands.
Star Net 8
Climb and traverse across or through the vertical tubes using the protruding holds. There are four different coloured holds which correspond to different levels of difficulty.
The large hexagonal openings in the net make this a difficult challenge. Co-ordination is the key to getting across. Once you have mastered this, try climbing in and out of different sections.

Virtual Coach Unlocking the potential A unique part of the Sports Legacy Zone package is the Virtual Coach programme. To add value to your Sports Legacy Zone, each of the key elements has a label with a ‘QR code’. This ‘QR code’ can be scanned using a smartphone and appropriate QR reader app. Once scanned, it takes you directly to a video featuring our Virtual Coaches, Olympians Steve Backley and Roger Black. The Virtual Coach Programme will unlock the full potential of your Sports Legacy Zone by: • • • •
Providing demonstrations on how to use the equipment Detailing the physical benefits of each element Talking through the team games Setting fitness challenges
Users will be able to respond to these challenges and compete for prizes in an online competition. The Virtual Coach programme will attract a greater number of users and will increase dwell time within these areas. An iPad 2 is supplied as part of the package and includes everything you need to get the most out of your Sports Legacy Zone including our brand new app. This allows users to experience the 360° presentation which is a great tool for consultations and showcasing the benefits of Sports Legacy Zone. Performance Development Programme The PDP allows groups to get the most out of their Sports Legacy Zone. Proludic have created a Performance Development Programme (PDP) to provide an educational resource as an extension to the Virtual Coach. This is a series of programmes developed by Steve Backley and Roger Black to facilitate semi-structured activities based on teamwork, agility, cooperation and technical knowledge. This will allow the installed facility to be used in periods of the day that are traditionally quiet and extends the appeal of the equipment to a wider range of users. This programme has been developed for schools, youth services, health agencies and families. The Personal Development Programme can also be used to facilitate volunteer engagement through a volunteer coaching initiative. The programme outlines a number of sessions, structured in the same way as those within a formal learning environment. They detail the session duration, the aims and objectives and provide a ‘lesson plan’ approach to achievement and engagement through physical exercise. These sessions are flexible and can be delivered as half day, whole day or part of a number of semi-structured sessions. The activities have been designed to appeal to all abilities with three levels of difficulty. Users will take part in a number of activities before competing in the team relay event. A number of different modules can be undertaken and progress can be monitored.
A typical session would include: • A warm-up and risk, benefits assessment • Basic techniques and application • Evaluation of ability and development areas • The challenges and activities • Group relay

Materials that provide quality and durability The Legacy The 125mm diameter posts are made of lacquered galvanised steel. The two-tone grey graining finish has a slightly undulating surface for increased scratch resistance. The posts are covered by a rotomoulded polyethylene cap.
The tubes are made of stainless steel with a diameter of 40mm and they guarantee lasting durability and reliability of the equipment. Injection moulded polyamide fixings connect the posts with the platforms and the various play features. They are non-toxic and flame/shock/UV resistant. The thickness of the polyamde makes the equipment both strong and vandal resistant Suspended World : The platform floors are machined from 22mm plywood panels made from fine layers of Birch. The surface is coated with a non-slip thermoplastic polyolefin film and framed with a 400mm diameter stainless steel tube.
22
The rope is made from galvanised steel cable covered with polypropylene.
The button climbing holds are made of polypropylene. They are non-toxic, non-flammable and shock and UV resistant.
The net fittings are manufactured from polyamide and are used to link three cords together.
The Salamander climbing holds are made of injection moulded polyamide combining rigidity and durability.
The coloured panels are made from a compact material 13mm thick with a composition of 70% softwood fibre and 30% thermosetting resin which stands up well against the elements. The coloured sides are coated with pigmented acrylic polyurethane resins: this protects them from UV radiation and damage.
The stainless steel fixings are protected by polyamide anti-vandal caps.
The tunnel is made from polyethylene.
