About the Conference
October 2010
A conference overview The EAUC 15th Annual Conference will be held on the 11th April – 13th April 2011 at the University of York. The 2011 Conference will bring together over 350 delegates from every area of campus life, from the higher and further education sector. Delegates include those responsible for environmental management, estates and facilities, finance and procurement as well as curriculum leaders and students. The Conference will include plenary sessions, interactive workshops, Conference Gala Dinner, an Exhibition as well as facilitated networking opportunities.
About the Exhibition
The 2011 conference includes an exhibition hall where all catering and refreshments will take place to ensure high exposure for exhibitors. Previous exhibitors have covered a wide range of industries and organisations from waste management to catering. A much wider impact is made by linking suppliers and departments within an institution. Representatives from UK universities and colleges will include decision makers, budget holders and policy makers. This event is your opportunity to make links with all the key players in the further and higher education sector.
Sponsorship & Exhibitor Opportunities
We have several opportunities for organisations to partner with us in the running of this important annual conference. Aside from the standard exhibitor packages, why not enhance your company exposure with a sponsorship package designed to make an instant impact. We also offer sponsorship for specific elements of the conference such as the Conference Gala Dinner, facilitated networking events, workshops or refreshment breaks.

The EAUC’s Annual Conference will bring together delegates from every area of campus life, from the higher and further education sectors and supporting service providers. The EAUC make conscious efforts to reduce the environmental and social impacts of its Annual Conference and we work very closely with the host venue . The EAUC Conference Ethos is available on the EAUC Conference website. We ask all delegates, exhibitors and sponsors attending to kindly read it and commit to it. We welcome ideas or suggestions of how we can improve it.

The venue… University of York
With excellent transport links, the University of York offers the EAUC and its conference delegates an ideal location for its 15th Annual Conference. Sustainable principles underpin the University of York’s £500 million campus expansion. It is a visionary development, featuring quality building aspiring to achieve an ‘excellent’ BREEAM rating, with a minimum of ‘very good’. The 117-hectare expansion on the eastern edge of the campus includes measures to ensure more efficient use of energy and water, and the further reduction, reuse and recycling of waste. The University is also developing a combined heat and power plant, as well as investigating the feasibility of using wind power, to meet the energy needs of the entire campus. The conference will allow for several tours to see the campus and learn more about York’s sustainable initiatives. For more information on the University of York, please visit http://www.york.ac.uk/ Back to Contents Page
