HOW DID ASTON MARTIN BUILD SUCH A POWERFUL CAR?
They started with the incredibly small. Cosworth drew inspiration from a modest inline-three cylinder and managed to develop a quarter of an engine. This allowed their engineers to test and develop the combustion system they wanted to use on a smaller, more manageable scale.
Once everything was perfectly defined, from the shape of the combustion chamber to the valve angle to the compression ratio, they took the inline-three cylinder they obtained, added another end to end, and two more back to back, to create the basic configuration of this wonderful V12.
This approach gave the brand the assurance that it was possible to achieve both the power requirements and emission levels they were aiming for. And what power, what thrill! The V12 engine develops 154 hp per liter, for a total power output of 1,130 hp, with the assistance of the KERS. All this with a weight of only 202 kg. If you're skeptical, know that as the power climbs to 11,000 rpm, your vision literally starts to blur.
AN EXTRAVAGANT SPEED OF 400 KM/H
The otherworldly performance of the Valkyrie is delivered by its 6.5-liter V12 engine developed with Cosworth. Unlike a traditional hybrid system, this V12 provides enhanced torque at startup and utilizes the electric motor to boost power.Just a little faster, and it would take flight!
