EFISIO
The Rebel Painter
Efisio is known as The Rebel Painter. This innovative and talented artist sees the act of creation as a constant battle. He expresses his violence, that tear on the canvas of his ego, and sublimates it.
A friend of César and a student of Hélène Marion, Efisio describes himself as a rebel, an artist who has always refused to be molded, living with his paintings like the most demanding of mistresses.
A portrait of a man with an incredible destiny, driven by his art, to which he abandons even the smallest fragment of his Essence. "Every painting is a battle, " says the artist. Efisio works with immense canvases to better represent what stirs his heart: chaos, neurosis, light.
Each painting is a new birth, sometimes born in pain: a rebirth, a new freedom. The fear of death transcends his art: "I either win the game or the canvas annihilates me," he says. unique and surprising, constantly challenging the very notion of style with each painting he approaches, claiming the influence of the most diverse artistic movements (from cubism to street art, from expressionism to free figuration...), Efisio projects his intimate visions onto his canvases.
Efisio's work is the result of visceral labor, profound reflections, and dreams that can awaken him in the middle of the night, demanding that he immediately pick up his brushes, sometimes painting for days on end without doing anything else. He paints as he fights, but if he is a fighter, he is above all a visionary, a painter-seer.
A marvelous colorist, with hues that are both sensitive and powerful, he has a prefer- remains an essential component of his work. In his universe, there is often no heaviness or shadow; it's as if the characters, animals, and objects have lost their weight, floating in the space of the canvas like signs and illuminating themselves with their own colors. It is in this space that he takes us, and we are always moved and surprised to encounter new mysteries with him.
Efisio has cultivated a unique style since a very young age Even at the age of 4, he already lived for color, and that has never changed. It is a vital need for him. For him, the power of color resonates with the power of the earth.
He learned to love through great teachers who became his friends. They supported and encouraged him to paint, over and over again, without being influenced by any movement or institution: "I am a rebel, I never wanted to be molded I try to convey through my art the slow evolution of humanity, an emotion without restrictions."
Efisio creates immense canvases using various techniques: palette knives, brushes, his hands... He has created over 700 paintings and also does sculpture: "I want my hands, which have experienced so much, to bring matter to life It's erotic " His painting "The City of Clouds" symbolizes the connection between Art and Love. "When a man is lost, he clings to his feminine side, to Love. When he starts to love a city, then he can find a woman."
