Thackeray, the head of the Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena, held a press conference on Wednesday and strongly attacked the 'rebel' Shinde faction. On this occasion, he mentioned about three types of party legislature, parliament and street party. He also said that he does not believe that there is any other Shiv Sena. Thackeray, referring to the ongoing hearings at two placesthe Supreme Court and the Election Commission - said that people have questiones regarding what will happen next in the Thackeray group vs Shinde group dispute.

“What will happen to Shiv Sena in the future months? Who they get party name, symbol or not? What will happen to those who stabbed in the back? There is confusion about this. There will be a continuous hearing in the Supreme Court from the 14th. The hearing of the Election Commission has been completed. Shiv Sena (Thackeray) has submitted its statement in writing. What will happen, is the biggest question in everyone's minds," Uddhav Thackeray said.

"One thing is clear. Any party is formed on the basis of the people. If the party depends only on the elected people's representatives, then tomorrow two or three industrialists of the country can break the MLAs-MPs and become the Prime Minister or Chief Minister of the country. The party is at two levels. One is legislature, the other is parliamentary and beyond that is the main party street. A party which follows its leader, its constitution is Shiv Sena. Elections are held according to that constitution," Thackeray said.

"This time the elec- tion was expected to be held on January 23. We have demanded this from the Election Commission that either allow us to conduct this election or let us continue as it is. No such response from the commission has come yet. Election will happen after the permission of the Election Commission," he said.

Trying to curb the Supreme Court is not a sign of a healthy democracy, the Commission can give its verdict at any time. It is a different matter in whose favor the result will be.
