CM Gehlot urges PM Modi to declare ERCP as a nat’l project

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday reiterated his stand to declare the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) as a national project. Gehlot said that availability of drinking water and water for irrigation in 13 districts of Rajasthan is very important.

Gehlot was addressing the ceremony of inauguration of DelhiMumbai E-way & work of 4 NHs. He skipped the event and addressed the gathering through VC from the CMR. Gehlot termed connecting the DelhiMumbai expressway with Jaipur as useful. He said that along with the construction of new roads in the state, strengthening works are being done by the state govt.

Governor Kalraj Mishra and CM Ashok Gehlot met PM Narendra Modi before his departure at the Jaipur airport on Sunday.

Earlier, CM Gehlot paid a courtesy visit to PM Modi at airport and he informed about situation in State. As a courtesy, PM Modi also warmly met CM Gehlot and inquired about his wellbeing. It was speculated that CM Gehlot would not meet PM Modi but after meeting on Sunday, all such speculations ended.
