HARYANA POLICE BOOKS FORTY UNNAMED RAJASTHAN COPS

Haryana (PTI): Haryana Police on Tuesday registered a case against 30 to 40 unnamed Rajasthan police personnel on a complaint by a woman that her pregnant daughterin-law lost her child after she was allegedly assaulted by them during a raid to nab her son, who is an accused in the Bharatpur abduction-murder case.

Following the complaint of Dulari Devi, an FIR has been registered under sections 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 452 (house-trespass) and 312 (causing miscarriage) of the IPC.

1 QUINTAL OF CANNABIS SEIZED, TWO ARRESTED

Udaipur: Chairman of Rajasthan State Minorities Commission, Rafeek Khan, on Tuesday held a public hearing at Circuit House in Udaipur. He heard the grievances of people and gave assurance of their speedy disposal. Later, he also held a meeting with District Collector Tarachand Meena, Zila Parishad CEO Mayank Manish, and Additional District Collector City Prabha Gautam.

Jhalawar: In a major drug haul, the CIDCB wing of Rajasthan Police on Tuesday seized more than 1 quintal of cannabis worth around Rs 20 lakhs and arrested two smugglers in the Jhalawar district. The illegal drugs were being smuggled in a truck from Orissa to Bhilwara and later supposed to be supplied to local smugglers. The accused have been arrested and are being interrogated.

LAWYERS’ PROTEST CONTINUES AGAINST KILLING OF ADVOCATE IN JODHPUR

Jodhpur: Lawyers in Jodhpur on Tuesday boycotted judicial work and continued to protest the brutal murder of advocate Jugraj Chauhan in Jodhpur last Saturday. The agitating advocates took out a protest march from Heritage Bhavan to Sojati Gate and blocked the road. The lawyers demanded that a compensation of Rs 1 crore, police protection and a govt job should be given to the dependent of the family. Meanwhile, judicial work remained boycotted in Jaipur on Tuesday in protest against the brutal killing of advocate Jugraj Chauhan in Jodhpur. The advocates at the Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan HC and subordinate courts boycotted the judicial work and demanded justice for the victim.
