New Delhi (ANI): National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Wednesday said that terrorism in all of its forms and its financing are amongst the most serious threats to international peace and security. He made the remarks at the 18th meeting of the Secretaries of Security Council of SCO member states, underlining that any act of terrorism, regardless of its motivation, is unjustifiable.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today exuded confidence in winning the state Assembly polls slated to take place on May 10 and said that the BJP is an “ever-ready party” which is prepared for the elections.

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the Karnataka Assembly polls today.
Chief Election Commissioner said that the polling will take place on May 10 and the counting of votes will be done on May 13.
Speaking to the reporters after the announcement of dates, Bommai said that the party will return to power on the basis of the work it has done for the public.

The NSA thanked the top delegates for accepting his invitation to the meeting and said the participation of officials will not only enrich the discussions but also prepare the ground for a successful summit in a few months’ time. Regarding connectivity, he said that it remains a key priority for India.

India became a member of SCO in June’17, but our relations with SCO countries go back several centuries, he added. India became a full member of SCO on June 2017, while the SCO was established in 2001. India currently holds its Presidency and is holding a series of events.
