`9,532 cr to redevelop stations in Raj: Rail Min
Kashiram Choudhary Jaipur: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav during an interaction with the media through videoconference said that from 2009 to 2014, Rajasthan used to get Rs 682 crore allocation but this time an amount of Rs 9,532 crore has been given to the State. He said that the amount is 14 times more than what was given during the UPA regime.

Jaipur: The names of the district Congress presidents have been finalised by the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress and its list is expected anytime. Party’s state incharge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has approved it. The remaining 88 block Congress presidents will also be announced and political appointments will be done this month. According to party sources, around 30 district presidents will be announced. There will be two presidents in Jaipur city. An MLA is being made the district president in Jaipur Rural.
The announcement got delayed as Randhawa was busy with Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Due to this, his meeting with State Congress President Govind Dotasra could not be held. Recently, Randhawa came to Rajasthan and had a discussion with Dotasra and CM Ashok Gehlot.
The party has appointed 312 block presidents out of 400.
Jaipur: The Rajasthan Congress will organise a statewide protest outside the offices of SBI and LIC on February 6. State In-Charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has asked all Congress leaders to participate in the protest. Notably, for the first time, any in charge of Congress has taken strict action against the leaders for attending party meetings. Also, action has been initiated against senior party leaders. Sources informed that Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa himself called the leaders and asked why they did not come to attend the meeting. CRORE APPROVED FOR PROJECT’
Jaipur: Addressing a press conference, North Western Railway General Manager Vijay Sharma said that a fund of Rs 30 crore has been approved for Vande Bharat from Jaipur. “Maintenance centres are being made in Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur. NWR got a budget allocation of Rs 8,199 crore this year, which is 20 times more than last year. Rs 1,335 crore is for new line, Rs 416 crore for overbridge and Rs 707 crore will be provided for passenger facilities. Money will be spent on redevelopment of Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur stations. In the NWR, electrification has been done in 3,531 km and the rest of the work would be completed by 2024. A total of 1,024 kilometre electrification has been done in Jaipur, 1,404 kilometre in Bikaner and 320 kilometre in Jodhpur.
