Over `28 crore spent on 5 editions: Govt

‘Pariksha Pe Char- cha’ is an annual event where Modi interacts with students appearing in board examinations. the seat-sharing formula has already been worked out. His statement came amid BJP protests over seat-sharing arrangements with the NDPP and ticket issues in the state.
The first edition of the PM’s interactive programme with school and college students was held at the stadium on February 16, 2018.
A record 38 lakh students had registered this year for participating in the event. The number of registrations was at least more than 15 lakh last year.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday said that it will hear on March 17 pleas dealing with two separate issues of alleged “fraudulent conversions” and challenge to various state laws on religious conversions due to interfaith marriages respectively. The court was urged by lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay, who has filed a PIL.
Court Sentences Transgender For Sexual Assault
Thiruvananthapuram: In a first of its kind in Kerala, a fast-track court in the state capital city on Monday sentenced a transgender for sexual assault on a 16-year-old boy. The court sentenced the transgender to six years imprisonment, besides imposing a fine of Rs 25,000. The police said the incident occurred in 2016.
Union Minister Reddy hits back as T’gana CM attacks ‘Make In India’
New Delhi (ANI): Un- ion Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday hit back and accused Telangana Chief Minister (CM) K Chandrashekar Rao of consistently lying through his teeth, and drew an analogy of CM with that of a “habitual liar”.
Speaking to the reporters outside the Parliament, Reddy said “Whether it is the family of KCR or himself, everyone is lying to the people of the state. He is running the BRS party through a web of lies”.
The attack comes a day after the Telangana Chief Minister and the Bharat Rashtra
Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao, who is keen on expanding the party’s pan-India footprint attacked the BJP-led Centre, and said the Modi government’s flagship project ‘Make in India’ has turned out to be ‘Joke in India’.
“People in the state are not going to tolerate KCR anymore. That is why he is meeting national leaders of different states to project himself as a national leader,” Reddy added.
