Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given instructions for special Girdawari for early assessment of damage caused to crops due to unseasonal rains and hailstorms.

Rabi crops have suffered major damage due to unseasonal rains, hailstorm and strong winds. The harvesting of wheat and gram crops was going on in Kota, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand areas when the unseasonal rains occurred.

On Tuesday, many cities including Kota, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Udaipur received rainfall. Hailstorms also occurred in some parts of the state. According to report released by Jaipur Meteorological Centre and Water Resources Dept, Kota’s Chechat received a maximum of 25MM rains. Ramganj Mandi, Kanawas, Sangod also received rains with hail.

Thunderstorms with heavy rain occurred in parts of Dungarpur, Banswara, and Barmer.

New Delhi (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday spoke with CM Ashok Gehlot on the issue of alleged misbehaviour with three widows of the soldiers killed in the Pulwama attack in 2019. “Rajnath Singh spoke with Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on the matter of misbehaviour with widows of soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack,” a source told ANI, adding that Rajasthan CM assured of action in the matter.

Jaipur: Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Monday met the kin of Pulwama martyrs who visited his residence and accused Raj govt of not fulfilling its promises made to them. “The behavior of police cannot be called right,” Pilot said. The aggrieved kin claimed as state govt hasn’t fulfilled any of its promises made to them & CM Gehlot was also not meeting them, their only option now was to convey their grievances to the Congress high command. “If there any changes that have to be made in rules then the state government should do it. Jaipur: The widows of three martyred CRPF personnel who are sitting on dharna along with MP Kirodi Lal Meena for the last ten days to press for their various demands, have now got the support of the BJP organisation.

A BJP delegation led by Dy LoP Rajendra Rathore submitted a memorandum to Governor Kalraj Mishra seeking his intervention, demanding justice for them.

Jaipur: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave a big gift to nurses cadre. Now gazetted officer will be Nursing Superintendent in the state. In this regard, orders were issued by the Rules Division of the Finance Department under the Raj Medical and Health Subordinate Service Rules 1965. Notably, nurses were extremely angry and agitated alleging neglect in the recently presented budget.

All nurses organizations including Rajasthan Nurses Association had expressed objection and along with this the demand was raised for the post of Nursing Superintendent to be given the status of gazetted officer. The demand of the nurses, who are preparing for a big movement, has been found to be genuine by the government and therfore, the State government notified the post of Nursing Superintendent as Gazetted Officer.
