Jodhpur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, while talking to reporters at Circuit House during his visit to Jodhpur, called the budget presented by the Central government the “foundation stone of a developed nation”, while the budget presented by the state government a “mere announcement”.
Shekhawat said that ever since the BJP government was formed at the Centre in 2004, efforts are being made to ease the path of development. “Efforts are made to provide relief to the general category and announcements have been made to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed, to con- nect people belonging to SC/STs and OBCs with the mainstream,” he said. He said that the state govt’s budget was just an election budget.
