The ACB on Monday nabbed a girdawar (revenue official) and three brokers red handed with bribe of Rs 5 lakh, said a spokesperson. ACB ADG Hemant Priyadarshy said girdawar Ramkishan Meena, and brokers Girraj Meena, Kedar Prasad Darji, and Mahesh Kumar Sharma were held on a complaint. The accused had sought Rs 15 lakh bribe in the name of Aandhi Tehsildar. The accused had already taken Rs 3.50 lakh from the complainant before he filed the complaint. The complaint was verified under supervision of DIG Ravi and ASP Himanshu. Involvement of Tehsildar Aandhi is being investigated in detail. The arrested accused were being questioned.

ACCOUNTS OFFICER, CONTRACTOR HELD BY ACB

Dharam Singh Meena Jai Narayan Meena

The ACB on Monday arrested Dharam Singh Meena, Senior Accounts Officer at Directorate of Specially-abled and Jai Narayan Meena, a contractor, while taking and giving bribe of Rs 50,000. ACB ADG Priyadarshy said that the bureau received information about the bribe exchange for giving a contract and passing bills for Mentally Demented Women and Child Welfare Rehabilitation Home, in Jamdoli, Jaipur.

SENIOR ASSISTANT IN ACB NET FOR `3K BRIBE

The ACB on Monday caught redhanded Mustafa Sheikh, Senior Assistant Government Higher Secondary School, Jhadas in tehsil Arthuna of Banswara district taking bribe of Rs 3,000 from the complainant. He is presently posted in the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, in Banswara. ACB ADG Hemant Priyadarshy said that the complainant had said that the accused sought Rs 5,000 bribe in lieu of making his DA bill and arrear bill. The complaint was verified under supervision of DIG Rajendra Prasad Gail by ASP Madho Singh and the accused was held in a trap.
