Jaipur: In the last financial year (April 2022 to March 2023), the state witnessed a boom in the registry of purchase or sale of over 27.26 immovable properties.

The Rajasthan government earned revenue of `1697.33 crore from the registries, which is 26 % more than last year. Most of the properties have been bought by men.

Husband kills wife over suspicion of character

Bhilwara: A husband allegedly killed his wife in the Jahajpur area of Bhilwara district on Wednesday following a suspicion over her character. Police informed that Moti Lal Bheel killed his wife Anita Bheel (35) after an argument broke out between them. “The woman had gone to her neighbour’s house to attend a religious program. After she returned home, an argument broke out between Anita and her husband. Anita was beaten by her husband, following which, she died. The villagers saw the deceased body on Thursday and alerted the police. Moti Lal has been arrested and the matter is being investigated,” police said.
