Cyclone Biparjoy has started making landfall near Jakhau Port in Gujarat’s Kutch district after churning across the Arabian Sea for over 10 days, the IMD said Thursday evening. The landfall process of Cyclone Biparjoy had started in the Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat from around 6:30 pm on Thursday and will continue till midnight. In Saurashtra and Kutch, about 1 lakh sq km area is affected by the cyclone, according to experts. The intensity near the centre is 115-125 kmph gusting to 140 kmph, mentioned in the IMD bulletin. P8
