Red alert for rain in 4 districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in Ajmer, Barmer, Jalore and Jodhpur in wake of cyclonic storm Biparjoy. Heavy to very heavy rain has been warned at these places from June 16 to 18. The wind speed here is expected to be more than 80 kmph. Due to this, the administration in these districts is on alert. The government is also keeping an eye on this storm.

Taking precautionary measures, Barmer district administration has planned to shift the people residing in low-lying areas to the safe location. Authorities have planned to shift them to govt school buildings.

In the capital Jaipur too, there is a possibility of rain and wind with thunder for next seven days and temperature may dip.

A case has been registered against 15-20 people, including the former minister and State Congress Committee vice-president Naseem Akhtar, her husband Cong leader Haji Insaf Ali and his son, at the Civil Line police station for creating a ruckus at the block-level Gandhi Darshan training camp.

Rathore corners State Govt on law and order
