Three members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang held in S’nagar

Three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were arrested following an encounter in Sri Ganganagar district, police said Friday. The accused, identified as Sonu, Sachin and Harish, all residents of Punjab, were arrested on Thursday, they said. According to police, the gang was trying to extort money from businessman

Harakhchand Malpani. Malpani, in his complaint, alleged that the accused were trying to extort money from him in the name of Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother.

AP Deshmukh said, “Three persons who were trying to extort money from a local businessman were arrested last night. They have affiliation with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi,”

The accused were arrested near Sadhuwali during which Harish was injured, they said.

Felicitation of eye donors’ kins on March 19

Jaipur: The Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan will organize a Netradan Parivar Samman Samaroh on Sunday to honour the families of posthumous eye donors. The program will be organized at 10:30 am at Bhattarak Ji Ki Jain

Nasiyan. Chief Secretary Usha Sharma will be the chief guest of the program.

During the ceremony, 60 eye donor families will be honoured for the noble cause. Notably, the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan is a charitable organi- zation established in 2002 to create awareness among people about eye donation.

Till December 2022, the Society has received about 18,439 corneas and has helped 11,873 blind people by applying corneas.
