Shah on Saturday asked the youth to join in nation building and ensure that when India celebrates its centenary year of independence in 2047, it is number one in every field. He called on the youth to take a resolve for progress in their personal lives and also to contribute towards nation building in some field.
“When we celebrate centenary year of independence in 2047, in every field this great nation of ours should be number one. To build such a nation, you the youth must join hands on appeal of PM Modi and contribute in building a great India,” he said.
Speaking at the platinum jubilee celebrations of BV Bhoomaraddi College and after inaugurating an indoor stadium at the campus, he listed out progress made by the country in various fields and strong foundations laid by the government for development in a number of areas.

Targeting the opposition Congress and JD(Secular) and accusing them of dynasty politics and corruption, he sought support for the BJP to form a govt with full majority in Karnataka. Shah took part in the road show on a specially decorated open vehicle, for over a km distance from Basavanna Devara Matha to Gali Mariyamma temple here.

COURT ACQUITS SP LEGISLATOR NAHID HASSAN IN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE
Muzaffarnagar (PTI): In a major relief to Samajwadi Party MLA Nahid Hasan, a special MP/MLA court acquitted him in a 2019 attempt to murder case due to lack of evidence. Special judge Surender Kumar acquitted Hasan and one Haider Ali on Friday on the grounds that the prosecution failed to prove the case against them, Hasan’s counsel Rashid Ali Chauhan said on Saturday. Chouhan said he had pleaded before the court in Kairana in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district that the charges against the accused have not been proven.
FOREST OFFICER GETS 5-YEAR JAIL IN ASSETS CASE
Mangaluru (PTI): A range forest officer in Karnataka has been sentenced to five years imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 1.5 crore in a disproportionate assets case. S Raghava Patali, a resident of Derebail Konchady, range forest officer of Sahyadri zone of Belthangady in Dakshina Kannada district, was convicted and sentenced to jail by the third additional district and sessions (special) court. If Patali fails to pay the fine, he will have to undergo one more year of simple imprisonment.
MAN’S DETENTION UPHELD IN GOLD SMUGGLING CASE
Kochi (PTI): The Kerala High Court has upheld the preventive detention of a man under COFEPOSA Act in a gold smuggling case. Abdul Raoof, accused of smuggling gold worth over Rs 7 crore through the Cochin port by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in 2021, was detained under the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities (COFEPOSA) Act. A division bench comprising Justices Anil K Narendran and PG Ajithkumar upheld the detention of Raoof.
