Chennai (Agencies): Three school students riding two bicycles on Tuesday were hit by a speeding SUV at Valaymaptu village near Vaniyambadi in Tirupattur district of Tamil Nadu, police said. The three boys identified as S. Rafiq and two siblings, R. Vijay and R. Suriya, who were in their bicycles died on the spot. All the deceased studied in Class 8. While the brothers, Suriya and Vijay were riding the same bicycle, Rafiq was in another bicycle.

Bidar (Agencies): A 22-year-old MBBS student committed suicide by jumping off a 7-storey building in Bidar district of Karnataka on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Srirama Kadagi. As per police, Srirama was a final-year medicine student at the Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS). He was residing at the BRIMS hostel and committed suicide in the morning.

Panaji (Agencies): Goa police has arrested four persons all residents of Delhi for allegedly accepting bets for Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket match, in Panaji. North Goa Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valsan said that on receiving information about the betting for cricket match, they conducted raid at one villa in Anjuna, North Goa and arrested four people on February 26.
Hoshiarpur (PTI): An Army personnel was seriously injured after he was pushed from a moving train by three unidentified people when he resisted their attempt to snatch his bag, police said. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday when the Shalimar Express was passing Darapur by-pass Tanda here on the Jalandhar-Jammu rail track. The army personnel was travelling to Jammu from Ambala, police said.
