First India Bureau Mumbai: The Crime Branch on Saturday arrested two men for their alleged involvement in an attack on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Sandeep Deshpande, which took place on Friday.

The police are on the hunt for two more persons in connection with the incident.

Four men--who used handkerchiefs to cover their faces--attacked Deshpande with a bat and stump around 7am in Shivaji Park area, while the latter was on a walk. The attack left the former councillor with a fractured hand and injuries to his legs.

Shivaji Park police subsequently registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section
