`162.20cr HAS BEEN SET ASIDE TO CONSTRUCT A JETTY AND RELATED FACILITIES FOR WATER TRANSPORT TERMINAL NEAR THE GATEWAY OF INDIA. THIS WILL FACILITATE WATER TRANSPORT FROM SOUTH MUMBAI TO KALYAN, DOMBIVLI, THANE, VASAI AND NAVI MUMBAI.

First India Bureau Mumbai: With an eye on improving the quality of life of those following traditional occupations, the state Budget proposes the setting up of bamboo clusters in Latur district and Kolhapuri chappal cluster in Kolhapur district through self-help groups.

To further aid such groups, Unity Mall will be established in Mumbai, As announced by the Centre in the budget, and space will be given to self-help groups, deputy CM Fadnavis said ,while presenting Maharashtra’s Budget for 2023-24 on Thursday.

Further, the state government has announced a Rs5 lakh insurance scheme for traditional fishermen, which will be established with help from the Union government.
