New Delhi (PTI): Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Monday reported a 44% decline in standalone net profit at `629 crore in the third quarter ended December. The state-owned bank had earned a net profit of `1,127 crore in the year-ago period. However, total income during October-December 2022 increased to `25,722 crore as against `22,026 crore in the year-ago period. On the asset quality front, the bank recorded an improvement with gross NPAs declining to 9.76%.

Chandigarh (PTI): South Korea on Monday said India is undeniably a global powerhouse and that the Indian presidency of G20 will unleash its potential and pay heed to insights and feedback from members and contribute to the international community.

“The impression of this country is that India is undeniably a global powerhouse that not only is a hard power evidenced by economic scales and population but also a soft power equipped with well-known films, cuisines, history and renowned figures,” Byungsik Jung, the representative of South Korea said at the inauguration.

He also exuded confidence about the success of the G20 presidency this year.
