INTERVIEW Q&A

APHRODITE A Timeless Beauty Icon

Q: It’s an honour to have you present here. Fans like myself were over the moon hearing the launch of your anticipated skincare line Venus, tell us more about the inspiration behind it! A: Thanks for having me over! I am grateful for the support towards Venus, it wouldn’t be successful without fans, family, friends and my management team. Venus was created with the diversity of women in mind, everyone should feel beautiful and not be defined by society’s rigid definition of beauty. Q: I’ve heard that Pandora’s nomination as the First Lady had something to do with her being your niece. What are your thoughts? A: It’s sad to hear that as Pandora is a very capable and independent woman. Women can be rest assured that we will be well represented by Pandora on Earth. Knowing her, she will question societal values and will not just follow them blindly. I am proud of the woman she has become today. Q: Being a beauty icon, you have had your fair share of suitors, especially co-star Ares in the series Warship. Did you feel pressured playing his on-screen lover after a messy split? A: No comment. Q: Alright. I won’t push it further. What advice will you give young women who look up to you? A: Be authentic and don’t let the haters get to you.

RELATIONSHIPS, FAMILY & CAREER

PANDORA TELLS ALL

“ The Hope collection would not be possible without the craft skills of Hephaestus.”

B eing a business woman never stopped Pandora from being family-oriented, she is after all hailed as the Athenian Princess of multitasking. Many attribute Pandora as humble and down-to-earth which you might not expect from a woman with an accomplished career like her. Her self titled jewellery collection has gained international attention through Milan Fashion Week this fall. Today, PANDORA jewellery is sold in more than 100 countries across six continents. PANDORA features various familiar faces in the high fashion as its’ ambassadors with names such as Pandora’s aunts— Aphrodite and Athena. It’s no surprise that she has followed in their footsteps, good genes clearly run in their genes! Q: It is a pleasure to have you here First Lady Pandora. The nation, especially women are excited to know what the inspiration behind the new charm collection PANDORA’S Hope. Tell us more! A: Thanks for having me here and please just call me Pandora, there’s no need for formality. *laughs* Growing up in Athens, the capital city of Greece, strong cultural identity has been ingrained within me

like many Greek children. Communal values were highly sought after. Basically everyone knew each other! Compassion, Honesty and Respect are the three main mottos we live by in Athens. When I first arrived in Hollywood, there was close to no understanding of the Athenian culture. I wanted to portray Athens to the world through the charms of the Hope collection. I am proud to say that PANDORA is the official sponsor for the International Women’s Day 2019. I hope to inspire feminism through the flair of the charm jewellery.
Q: How on earth do you balance career with family? What tips do you have for women like yourself? A: Leadership is essential in maintaining order in both work and family structure. Fortunately, my hubby Epimetheus is supportive of my career and there is no assumed gender roles in my household. It helps to start getting the kids to help out early in interactive ways. Learning to be responsible and capable early on is hardly a bad thing. Prioritising self care is important. You can’t properly start a day without fully reenergising. Set boundaries between work and family that is the best lesson I’ve learnt from my dad.
