WELCOME TO THE SPRING 2015 FIRST NATIONAL WANAKA PROPERTY GUIDE 2015 has been a solid year for real estate sales in the Wanaka area. Up until 31 August 2015, $275m worth of property has been sold, according to the Real Estate Institute’s statistics. Compare this to the 2014 total of $282m. If we continue at the same rate, 2015 is easily going to exceed this figure. Around Wanaka, high numbers of section sales continue with first home buyers and investors getting into the market. At the lower end of the market, this is likely to be a reflection of the shortage of houses available. Interest rates continue to be attractive, affording extra security for future planning.
