“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you… My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” ~ John 15:9, 12-13 ~ Memorial Day weekend. The unofficial beginning of Summer. So much to do. Parades, picnics, finally a chance to get away now that the kids are out of school, The Indy 500 on television, baseball games... none are bad choices! However, let’s not forget to not forget. We must remember the opportunities and freedoms that are ours in our great country have come to us with a high price tag. Let’s not forget to honor those who have given their all — laying down their lives for their friends out of love. Remember also the thousands of spouses, parents, children and close friends of fallen veterans who will mourn this weekend as they also remember. This Sunday at FSBCPV, we will also take time to remember the Lamb of God — the One who made the most powerful and important sacrifice of all history. As we continue our Forty Day Journey of KNOWING JESUS, we will get to know more about Jesus, The Lamb of God. We will discover together that the greatest paradox of all time — The Lamb of God who defeated the powers of hell, the powers of sin and the grave — gives us life! Blessings on your week as you continue your own journey of Knowing Jesus — may you find opportunity to remember, rejoice and be thankful. Pastor Terrell
