RIGHT TO LIFE

As I write this today, we are less than six weeks away from maybe the most important election that we have ever had. Obviously, our national election will have a great impact on country and all of our lives. I do hope that you have registered to vote and that you will vote! Every vote will count. We will have voter guides available when they become available to us.

However, our state election will have great impact on lives as well. Did you know that Arizona is one of I believe ten states that will be voting on laws to increase the right to abortion to the nth degree. Please read Arizona Proposition 139 very carefully. Proposition 139 is a measure that aims to amend theArizona State Constitution. In this case, the measure will amend Article II of theArizona State Constitution by inserting a new section on the issue of abortion. It will extend the right to abortion on demand to 24 weeks as of now, that stands at 15 weeks. It also has provisions for abortion to be available until the time of “fetal viability” defined as that time when the fetus is reasonably able to live outside the womb.Also, it no longer requires a licensed medical professional, ie: a medical doctor, to perform abortions!

Some states already have similar laws in place. This is causing a problem seldom revealed in the media. Following is an article and letter penned recently by Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family. I give it to you today so that you may be well informed in the voting booth.

The following is an article written by Jim Daly the day after the recent Presidential Debate, followed by the letter he sent to the President ofABC.

“Nearly 60 million people tuned into last night’s presidential debate in Philadelphia between Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat nominee, and former President Donald Trump, the Republican candidate.

But what I’m writing to you about today is about neither political candidates nor political parties. Not even the Election. I’m reaching out to you about abortion and our ongoing quest to save preborn babies.

One of the more pointed parts of last night’s exchange involved the now half-century plus debate over the sanctity of life. Specifically,ABC moderator Linsey Davis erroneously stated, “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.”

Ms. Davis is mistaken. Babies who are born after failed abortions have been legally abandoned and have died. That’s infanticide. Earlier today, I reached out toAlmin Karamehmedovic, the president of ABC News, and requested the network issue an immediate correction.

As I mentioned in my letter (which is below), the “Born-AliveAbortion Survivors ProtectionAct” –which would ensure babies born from failed abortions receive lifesaving care – has been repeatedly blocked in Congress.”
